Homewood Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh-Southpointe

Spent Labor Day weekend here with my partner. The hotel itself was really nice and the fire pit outside was beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed, and I love that fresh ice water was provided in the lobby. Our room itself did leave something to be desired. The wall paper was peeling and we didn't have necessary utensils in the kitchenette. The couch was a little worse for the wear. That being said, it was overall a nice experience and we would definitely stay here again. Thanks!

Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone. Especially someone traveling for work. The hotel overall is updated and clean. Rooms are spacious with anything you need. Including some having living rooms. Wednesdays they do a happy hour which was surprisingly better than I expected. You technically wouldn't even have to leave to get dinner that evenin. I fully enjoy this stay when it comes up for me.

Not clean! Stayed there 2 nights, Aug 25-26. When you first walk in, the rooms seems nice. The bed was decent, the bedding was - odd. We slept under the sheet only. The valances above the windows were thick with dust. The corners of the kitchen were full of debris. The dust case for the hair dryer was stained by water or other liquids; how hard would it be to throw it in the wash or remove it altogether as it is very unsightly? Hair in the bathroom drawers. Large stains on carpet (not by my room but by the exterior door we used.) We didn’t really want to change hotels but we also wouldn’t stay there again. The housekeeping leave much to be desired. I Hope someone takes this review seriously. everything seems to be good about the hotel but service is terrible. we were told that rooms will be cleaned every other day, today was day 2nd… and towards end of the day and still rooms are not cleaned, towel shortages at 5:30 PM we are still waiting for room don’t cleaned. it is very very disappointing. Front desk person was not useful, I really hope someone in management takes a note of it at take action, as sorry is not acceptable

I used the Hilton Honors app to check in online and was assigned a room via keyless entry. Once in the room I immediately could see the room was not cleaned properly. Being a seasoned traveler I always give my rooms a head to toe inspection upon arrival. This room had not been vacuumed, nor were the tile surfaces mopped. The exterior and interior door handles were filthy and as soon as I saw fecal debris and urine stains on the toilet I vacated the room and went to reception. As I began explaining my situation to one concierge she abruptly walked away and said “ sorry shift change “ so I had to explain the situation all over again. At which point I was assigned a new room that wasn’t much better than the first. At least the toilet and floors were clean but not much else, the shower floor was absolutely filthy. Exhausted from my day I gave up and settled in. Within moments a large dog in the adjoining suite began barking, which went on for more than an hour while cleaning staff in the hallway ignored it. Finally I called the desk and the staff assured me they would call the owners which took another 45 minutes. At 6 pm I went down to meet the delivery driver and pickup my dinner at which point I heard other guests being told that the hotels water would be shut off at 8 am. When I asked the clerk she said “ yeah first shift never made any signs or told guests, so if you’re going to shower you need to do so before 8 am” I have never heard of a hotel shutting off the water supply to the entire building. Sadly other guests were left in the dark about this. In my full kitchen suite all of the silverware was missing and the china was filthy. So another trek to the lobby to retrieve plastic utensils to eat a now cold meal. This location is worn and needs a deep cleaning top to bottom. Hilton offers too many options in this area to ever stay here again. According to Hilton this is supposed to be a 4.5 star hotel?????!
